A Wedding Song For Mom

Getting married is not only life changing for you but also for the people around you; it is a big and important event for the friends and family as well. It’s true it is your day but you share that happiness with all your loved ones so you should have this in mind: your wedding day means a lot for the others as well.

A really thoughtful and beautiful way of expressing your love and gratitude towards your loved ones on your special day could be by dedicating to them for example a poem or a song. Anyone dear to you would feel really impressed and thankful for showing your love in this simple but so meaningful way.

A wedding is probably an emotional experience for most of us but the people who are really excited about it are the moms. On both sides, the mother of the groom, as well as the mother of the bride will be very happy and pleased to see their children on their special day. But they also may be a bit sad because for them to see their children to get married and start their own life, their own family may be a little overwhelming but, hopefully, in a positive way.

In the choosing of the song you would dedicate to your mother you should have in mind what would you like to express. You could choose something that’s been a favorite to your mother for a long time, or something that bears meaning to the both of you, something that brings back cherished memories from the times you spent together.

This dedication should be done in a moment when the attention of your guests can be focused on you and her. Such moments can be after you arrive at the reception, or after your first dance ended with your partner. Or it could be before the wedding cake is brought in. However you would choose to do it, you should hold a small speech before the song, you should express your thoughts on her and what her and that special day means to you.

After you delivered your speech and dedicated a song to your mother you should be prepared for some very emotional moments for your mother as well as for you. Sometimes it may seem that all those overwhelming feelings of her are a bother for you but it is an unique occasion for both of you and what better way is to celebrate the beginning of your new life if not by remembering all the love and happiness you got from before.
