During time, it appeared new and new other musical genres and people always had the opportunity of opting for one type of music or another. This is also what we called personal style. The music we are used to listen speaks volumes about our personality. We become more familiar with certain persons if they listen exactly the same musical genre as we listen, if they go at the same party as us and the list can continue. The idea is that music is an important element of our life and sometimes we don’t realize this small detail of the quotidian.

Music becomes even more important when we offer it a huge role, the role of creating an amazing ambiance, an entertaining atmosphere during important events as the weddings. The wedding is a gorgeous occasions to infuse (if possible) all the musical genres. In this manner, you can stay relaxed that all your guests will find their favorite musical genre between all the songs played by the Dj. Of course, the married couple must also agree with all the songs and don’t make a huge sacrifice in listening all the songs during the most important event in their life.

On the other hand, I know let’s of couple who “assort” the playlist with the wedding theme. I know lots of couples who planned modern weddings with specific theme like reggae theme and played only reggae music like UB40, Big Mountain, Bob Marley; other couples planned vintage weddings and played music created by Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf and so on. In my opinion, if you didn’t planned a wedding with a specific theme, then it’s ideal to include in your wedding playlist as many musical genres such as oldies, country, polka, swing, popular wedding dance songs, blues, disco, rock and roll, r&b and so on. And if I started to talk about dance songs, I’d like to continue my article in devolving a bit this musical genre. Including in your wedding compilation some dance songs it’s a very good idea and let me tell you why.

First of all, since many years ago, there were artists who gave their best in creating amazing dance songs and nowadays there are even more artists who produce dance songs. In this manner, you’ll have a nice playlist composed by dance songs from past and present. You cannot go wrong by choosing this musical genre especially that all your guests will find their childhood or their desires in this music. Also, dance music is very suitable for every part of the wedding. We can choose dance songs for the big entrance, for first and the last dance, for the dance between parents and children, but also for all the others traditions such as garter removal, bouquet tossing, cutting wedding cake, Dollar dance. Also, some wedding dance songs are ideal to be played for creating a certain background for your wedding, also called dinner music.

The only thing you must do is to collaborate with your Dj or your band and set together what songs he’ll play and also in which moments. Everything is about planning. Now, I’d like to suggest you some popular wedding dance songs: “Cotton Eye” performed by Joe Rednex; “Crazy” performed by Gnarls Barkley ;“Cupid” performed by Shuffle Cupid , “Disturbia” performed by Rihanna ; “Don’t Cha” performed by Pussycat Dolls;  “Don’t Stop The Music” performed by Rihanna; “Don’t Stop ‘Till You Get Enough” performed by Michael Jackson; “Dreamlover” performed by Mariah Carey.
