The wedding first dance is one of the most important moments of the party. As we all know, especially the brides-to-be who are still doing their “homework”, a wedding is very hard and sometimes stressful to plan. But, soulfully planning it and also having the help and the support of your future husband and of your family (friends, relatives, and event planner), a wedding can be simply wonderful, even that we must fulfill lots of tasks and plan it catering for all its parts and rituals.
On the contrary, this moment involves more things than these two. And not only just things, but involves feelings- the most powerful feelings a human being can have in his life. If all the other parts of the wedding require attention from your part, for the first dance you must give up in thinking and again thinking and choose to plan this moment with all your heart starting from the music and ending with the dance steps. It can be even a lazy swing, but if you’ll find yourself as being the happiest woman in your swing that let everybody find out that you are as happiest as ever. In fact, that is what your guests want to see and to hear. They want to see feelings, desire, passion and joy. They aren’t expecting to be impressed by a well prepared show, but they want to be impressed by the feelings of the newlyweds. Of course, because now weddings are so modern, there are lots of couples who choose to transform the first dance into a show. That’s also the reason for why the old waltz was supplied with new tunes, modern songs, crazy rhythm.

But, if you are not so into “modern cool” melodies, than opt for the traditional solution and choose a waltz. In this article, I’d like also to recommend you some best first wedding dance songs for all the categories of couples: crazy, oddball, romantic or traditional. For crazy couples a song like “Glory box” performed by Portishead is just perfect because the rhythm is truly touching, the lyrics are even touching and also quite erotic. “Glory box” is an amazing song, but only the daring persons should choose it as the melody for their first dance: “Give me a reason to be a woman!” (Now, you, the most beautiful bride in the world had received a powerful reason to be a woman- look at your finger). For oddball couples, there are some good tunes like “Pina Colada” performed by Rupert Holmes, “Kingston town” performed by UB40, “Addicted” performed by Waldeck and the list can continue. For romantic and traditional couples, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Donna Summer and Eric Clapton created some eternal amazing best first wedding dance songs. All you must do is to choose with your soul the perfect melody for such an important moment!
