William Martin alias “BillyJoel is an American musician and great pianist, classical singer and songwriter. Billy Joel has become famous and also the sixth best-selling recording artist and the third best-selling solo artist in the United States, since releasing his first hit song, called Piano Man, in 1973.

Billy Joel songs were Top 40 hits in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He also gained for six times the Grammy Award and sold over 150 million records worldwide. This is a love song from Billy Joel’s 1977 pop rock album entitled The Stranger.  Billy Joel wrote the song as a birthday gift to Elizabeth Weber, his first wife. After their divorce, Billy Joel said that when performing the song, he would imagine what they would have for dinner or what they would do after his show. Just the Way You Are was Joel’s first song in the US Top 10 reaching the third place and the UK Top 20. The song also won the 1978 Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Since its release, the song has been covered by famous performers such as Barry White, Diana Krall, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick, Jr.

She’s Got A Way

The original version of the song was recorded on Joel’s 1971 album Cold Spring Harbor and the remade live version was released as a single from Songs in the Attic album and reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1982. Lullaby – Goodnight my Angel

Lullaby is one of Billy Joel’s most soulful songs dedicated to his daughter and is a favorite father-daughter dance song for many wedding receptions. The song was written for his daughter Alexa when she was about 7 years old, as a right answer to her question “Daddy where do we go when we die?” This is a unique and touching song, meaningful to a dad and his newlywed daughter.
