Catholic Instrumental Wedding Songs

Wedding ceremonies belonging to various religions are, of course, different. The rituals are different, and also the music. Not all religions accept music of all sorts, like hits that were on TV and radio. Many religions blame some songs for the lyrics they have, because they are in contradiction with what the Church is teaching. So no songs referring to sex, drugs, lust, sins, death are welcomed. On the contrary, they are strictly forbidden, especially in a wedding ceremony. This event must be pure and must be made for the love of God and according to His teachings. All “filthy” music must be avoided. It is the same thing with the Catholic religion and, therefore, with the Catholic wedding ceremonies.

A wedding cannot go on without music. Because it is a celebration, some music must be, it cannot go on in silence! That is why the Catholic church accepted some songs, mostly instrumentals and mostly belonging to classical music. The music is wonderful, divine! Therefore, they became Catholic instrumental wedding songs.

You have here a short list of examples with songs that are appropriate to be played at a Catholic wedding. You might know some of the songs and some you might even love. A Catholic wedding is not that bad. It is not about dancing like crazy and partying wild, but it is about the celebration of God among the newly weds. Not all the songs have to be instrumentals, so you can hire a singer that knows the specific Catholic songs and respects them. The classical music and the wonderful voice can make a successful wedding. It will be more religious than the usual weddings, but that doesn’t mean it will be bad. On the contrary, all guests will have peace in their souls and will praise God through the Catholic instrumental or vocal wedding songs.
