Ceremonial Wedding Songs

If in the last article, I’ve talked about the first moment of the ceremony (about prelude), now I’d like to remind you about the following moment of the wedding ceremony. The processional is the longest part of the ceremony because includes more parts, has many meanings and also, all your guests are involved. In few words, the processional it’s the moment when the bride and the bridal party make their entrance.  A prayer or a reading will open this moment. It’s your responsibility to create the processional play list.

Also, it’s up to you how you’d like to start your wedding. You can start the processional by asking your best friend to read some heart touching words from your personal diary or as well you can choose a serious, sentimental, elegant and even humorous manner of starting the ceremony. Keep in mind that you must correlate this part with a specific songs. Usually, the processional includes also a reading from literature, poetry or a reading from Bible, performed by the marriage officiate or by your best friend.

During the processional moment, the attendants or witnesses must sign the wedding certificate or marriage license. This is also a very important part of the processional which it should be highlighted by a specific wedding song ceremony. But, the list of ceremony’s parts doesn’t end here. There are also many other important things you should cater for when creating the ceremony play list. For the moment when you and your husband will exchange the rings, promising eternal love and saying a little vow, you should choose  powerful ceremonial wedding songswhich has immensely meaning for you, or, as well, you can choose instrumental music which is very touching.

The moment of wedding vows such as blessings, benedictions, community commitment to support the marriage or the officiant’s sanction of the marriage must be emphasized by other songs. It’s ideal to choose a long song because the moment of wedding vows is followed by the first kiss of married couple and the introduction of the newlyweds.  A prayer, a poem or the final thoughts of the officiant will close the recessional. This is also an important moment, totally affective because carries a new meaning: your destines are now united in front of God and in front of your families.
