Dance Songs To Play At A Wedding

Disco music is the common name we give to the music that puts our body in motion. Whenever we listen to songs that are played inside a club atmosphere we instantly feel our feet moving or drum the rhythm of the music with the fingers on the table where we sit at. This is the purpose of ‘disco’ music: to get the people out there on the dancing floor, making them move their bodies in the rhythm of the melodies performed. The same has to happen when a wedding celebration takes place in the displaying of a wedding.

Of course that a wedding is not only about listening to the sounds of music and get ourselves out there in the dancing ring, it is mainly about the young couple exchanging the vows and the rings of commitment and eternal love into a marriage that is meant to last for a lifetime. And this is exactly what is celebrated afterwards by throwing a party to feast these sacred moments of sharing and loving. The wedding ceremonial requires the displaying of music, but only as a background on which several acts are performed: the bride’s entrance, the exchanging of the vows, the lighting of the Unity Candle and the exit of the bride and groom after they are pronounced wife and husband.

The religious ceremony is followed by the reception, the part of the wedding that is unfolded also on the musical background but this time the songs are the ones to set the tone for the big party, the guests being entertained with songs to dance to, with meals and drinking in the attempt to celebrate in high spirit the pronunciation of the marriage of the young couple in love. Way before the wedding celebration takes place, the bride-to-be together with the people involved in the process of the wedding planning gather to select the dance songs to play at a wedding.

While choosing these specific songs, the wedding couple need to consider the moments of the reception that are displayed at the beginning of the party which include the big entrance when husband and wife enter the hall on the sound of music, the father daughter dance performed on a song that is relevant in the life of both the father and the bride, the mother and son dance performed on a descriptive tune that unwinds the feelings of a mother toward the groom and the first dance a moment that reveals bride and groom dancing to a song reflecting their feelings of love and sharing.

After the displaying of these moments the party begins and in this regard, the wedding couple finally leaves the selection of dance songs to play at a wedding on the hands of a professional DJ or at the choice of the band of musicians specially hired on this occasion. The thing to be taken into account on the matter of selection is the age group that belongs to the guests attendance. Choosing different styles of songs of different musical times (dancing hits the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, etc) you will be assured that all the ages present in the wedding reception atmosphere will be satisfied with the entertainment program and as such succeeding to get everybody out there on the dance floor.
