On a side, the chosen melody must speak volumes about your relationship (a good idea is to make a slide show with some photos before the dance), you must show the respect and the love for your father. On the other side, the father would also like to manifest his proud of being the father of such a beautiful girl. That’s the reason why, during time, lots of bands had created daughter father wedding songs as a dedication from daughter to father but also from father to daughter.

I know lots of brides who mixed two melodies for the daughter and father dance. You can take this example too. Choose a romantic melody such as “What a wonderful life” and a happy song. In this case, you’ll need a choreography because, you are already providing a show to your guests, not just a simple dance. On the other hand, there are newlyweds which choose to combine mother and son dance with father and daughter dance and use the same melody. In my opinion, you should opt for two moments charged by emotions and different meanings than option for a complex one. In this way, you’ll also diversify and jazz up the wedding ambiance by offering to your guests different moments. Don’t be worried if you’ll create too an affective moment and there will appear some tears. This is a normal thing and everybody will appreciate your sincerity and your deep love as only parents and child can share.
