Nowadays, not only a priest can officiate your ceremony, but also one of the best friends of the couple. The processional may also include reading from literature or Bible, poetry or even readings from bride’s personal diary. During the processional, the attendants or witnesses must sign the wedding certificate or marriage license. This part of the processional is called declaration of marriage. But, among all these parts of the processional, there are others too. I told you that the processional is the longest part of the ceremony. Other parts of the processional are: the exchange of rings, called also the eternal symbols of love and mutual commitment, wedding vows, the definition of marriage (the moment when the officiant says few words about how important and solemn is the marriage), a first kiss as married couple, the introduction of newlyweds and the closing which can be highlighted by a poem, a prayer or the final thoughts of the officiant or of your best friend.

It is ideal to include also an Unity ritual during ceremony such as candle unity, water or sand unity which means that you and your husband had unit your destines. The music is the most beautiful option which can emphasize all these parts of the processional. You can hire a choir and ask them to learn some of your favorite songs or simple, you can opt for classical wedding songs for processional.

In the following lines, I’ll suggest you some titles of melodies perfect to be included in your ceremony processional: “Here She Comes” by Wedding Music Central; “Wachet Auf / Cantata No. 140 – Serenade Classical Collection” by T Carter Music; “Processional in D (Canon in D Major)” by New Wedding Tradition Vol II; “Ave Maria” by Bach – Wedding Music Central; “Con Te Partiro” by Set Your Wedding to Music, “How Deep Is Your Love” performed by Bee Gees; “By My Side” performed by Ben Harper; “Because You Loved Me” performed by Celine Dion; “Feels Like Home” performed by Chantal Kreviazuk; “After All” performed by Cher.
