During time, more and more musical bands had appeared to enchant our senses or to rich our musical knowledge. As music is in a continuous evolution, as well the wedding dance songs had evolved. If in ancient times, the music wasn’t allowed in churches, now we can call ourselves lucky because we can play some songs during our ceremony. This is a major change and we should have the best from it. Also, the ancient waltz played during the first dance now is supersede by other musical genres such as tangos, country, swing, reggae and even r&b.
Personally, my reason of being happy due evolution of wedding dance songs doesn’t refer to brides diversified authentic playlists with many musical genres, but it’s more related to the possibility of free manifestation, to the possibility of showing everybody truly how we are, how we know to have fun, how we know to put our personal touch on the best day of our lives. Now, there is no need to dissemble, to look happy and fallen in love head over heels while dancing a melody that isn’t quite on our taste. We must be natural because now we have this opportunity. It’s not about a retirement from traditions, but it’s about a natural positive evolution. The mainly traditions still are kept: the first and the last dance, the father daughter dance, the mother groom dance, bouquet tossing, garter removal and so on. All these traditions are still applied, but is it necessary to perform our first dance while a waltz is played or to take dance lessons for dancing waltz? We should relieve about naturalness side and have the best from this evolution!
