And here you get stuck. First of all you are not very sure if you are able to manage to do something else than rock back and forth while dancing with your beloved. OK, dancing with the parents can be done with simple moves not too demanding, but when it comes to your dance as a couple you’d like to do it in some other way, a more special way because you’d prefer that dance to be different, especially that is performed by you two, the main characters in the picture and everybody will have their eyes on you.
You grab the directories and start looking for dance classes, and finally you plan to have some, but another question is being raised: what kind of song to choose, the one that you danced to when you first met at that party or the one that one of you has made up his/her mind because it has the lyrics appropriate for the occasion or one of the famous first dance wedding songs from movies? And to you both the last option seems to sound interesting. Apart from the fact that the songs became hits they were also played in the movies and this idea suddenly appeals to you more than any other.
While thinking of this aspect, a list of songs pops up in your mind and together you sit down and have the songs played for you. You have some criteria according to which you should pick up one song, the lyrics should mean something, the music has to be the one to allow you to move graciously on the dance floor, but for this you have already the dance instructor with whom you have planned some sessions. Now the list is the front of your eyes, the CD with the compilation is in the CD player, so you begin the tough job of selecting.
You start with “Everything I do (I do it for you) by Brian Adams, a song that was also the soundtrack for the movie ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’ with the beautiful romantic love story between Robin and Maid Marian unfolded in the mysteries of those medieval times – this song will better work if the theme of the wedding would be a medieval one. And step by step you start to listen to the whole list where the song is waiting to be chosen: “Wonderful Tonight” – Eric Clapton, ”At Last” – Etta James, “I finally found someone” – Barbra Streisand, “Faithfully” – Journey and your both favorite one, “Unchained Melody” – The Righteous Brothers, which maybe in the end will have the winning vote as being your first dance song at your wedding party.
