Farewell Circle Song Suggestions

Your big wedding day is about to end. The reception was a success. You couldn’t have done that without the help of your friends, relatives and wedding guests. This is why you want to thank to all your wedding guests for sharing such unique moments with you. A nice way to do that is the Farewell Circle, also known as the Last Dance.

It is a wonderful way to thank to every guest that has attended your wedding. The Farewell Circle it’s a custom that originated in Australia and spread to other parts of the world. All the wedding guests gather in a circle on the dance floor around the newlyweds. You can also include your parents into the circle. Let’s face it, they helped you a lot and deserve your thanks.

Two informal alternatives for the Farewell Circle are the Guard of Honor and the Bridal Archway. The wedding guests form two lines and a long arch overhead with their hands linked or with flowers for the bride and groom to walk under as they exit the party hall. These alternatives are much quicker if you have a small wedding and you have already had an opportunity to speak personally with your guests.

No matter the farewell option you choose, your guests will appreciate that you offered them another opportunity to send you and your spouse a proper goodbye and best wishes of love, health and happiness for your future.

Once you’ve said goodbye, you might dance a little around the dance floor if the farewell song that’s been chosen is not over yet. Then you can exit by waving to your guests, who will be clapping their hands and wishing you well as you leave.

What music do you need for the farewell circle? Well, the farewell music can be made of your first wedding dance song or of 2 or 3 slower ballads of the newlyweds favorite songs in order to create a gentle and loving mood. The number of the songs depends on how big is the wedding circle. While the music is playing, the bride and groom begin walking around the circle and saying goodbye to each of their guests, friends and relatives.
