I know many couples who disagree with the idea of picking a waltz for their first dance. I cannot name these couples odd balls one, neither non-traditional, but still we must get used with the idea that times had changed, now some old traditions are supplied with new ones. If you disagree with the idea of dancing a waltz and you consider this musical genre quite antiqued, then choose other musical genre, for example, swing, which is a form of jazz including double bass and drums. Groove or drives are attributes of swing songs.
