Like in the wedding day it is celebrated the love which unites the grooms’ destinies at each and every year that passes and appends to the increasing number of the wedding anniversary this celebration gains a much more important significance: it is now about a whole life shared. And to see couples reaching big numbers of wedding anniversaries you get to understand how lucky they are and how this has becomes the reality of the wedding wish: to be together you and your partner for the rest of your life.
Having the chance to be near a couple in this situation brings you another challenge. What good songs for a 50th wedding anniversary shall you look for? It has to be something representative, as like a couple’s song from youth time.
But old or contemporaneous the music has to express the main idea: the time passed and they still are together. A good though in this way will be to look if possible among the wedding songs they had, a sort of revival of those times and of the exact wedding date. Good songs for a 50th wedding anniversary can be about “Endless love” a song by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross, “Forever together” by Randy Travis, “From the bottom of my heart” by Stevie Wonder, “Love story” by Clayderman, “You are so beautiful” by Joe Cocker.
The list can continue to endless as there are so many of them but another selected list will be: “You are the sunshine of my life” by Stevie Wonder, Vince Gills “Look at us”, “My kind of woman, my kind of man” by Patty Loveless/Vince Gill as a way to express the common ground between them, how they complete each other like soul mates. Also, you can count on “Through the years” by Kenny Rogers or “You and I” by Barbra Streisand.
