When you hear about exotic destinations, you probably see yourself on an island, with your feet buried in the sand and with a cocktail in your hand, listening to the waves breaking on the shore. But when you hear about Hawaii, you instantly think about flower garlands, loose dresses and people saying “aloha”. Who wouldn’t like to have his wedding in such an amazing destination, surrounded by family and friends? I believe every bride’s dream is to hear her beloved one’s vows on the beach, especially in this heavenly place where all beaches are public.
Although planning a wedding in a location far way from home can be a challenge, you can always seek a wedding planner from the specific area, who will make it easier for you to organize the event. You won’t be concerning about things like finding a florist, a photographer, a videographer, a DJ, a limo service and many other aspects which are elementary in the planning process. You will only have to choose your trousseau (which you can buy from your home are), to decide over the menu and to make a playlist with your favorite songs. You will be happy to hear that Hawaiian caterers have some amazing menus that will surely impress your guest. You will have to choose from traditional dishes like grilled pineapple, Caesar salad with crisp noodles, papaya dressing, grilled fish with guava sauce, pasta with ginger sauce, chicken with roasted peppers and many other mouth watering dishes.
After deciding over the menu, the second important thing you will have to do is to choose the music. If you want to play only traditional Hawaiian music to match the location, you can hire some regional artists and let them manage the entire music experience of the event. If you want to make your own playlist, or you just want to know a little bit more about Hawaii wedding songs, you can buy some compilations or you can browse the internet. No matter where you begin your search, you will surly find two famous songs which are considered as being the most popular wedding songs in Hawaii. One of them is called “Ke Kali Nei Au” by Charles King. You can choose to listen to this song in the Hawaii original version, although you might not understand the beauty of the lyrics, or in the English version.
I advice you to choose the English version because you will be pleased to dance on the beach with your guests, while on the background you will hear a voice singing about the search of love, commitment and the blessing of finding your half. The other famous Hawaii wedding song I was telling you about is called “Lei Aloha, Lei Makamae” and it’s performed by the same artist, Charles King.
The lyrics say how beautiful your beloved one can be in that special day when you unite your destinies forever. If once the idea of having your wedding in Hawaii was only a dream, nowadays many couples choose to celebrate special events in this exquisite location where they live some of the best moments of their lives. Wouldn’t you like to be one of these lucky couples?
