Mother And Son Wedding Songs
Wedding songs are the ones to color the ambient of your wedding celebration. Beside the decorative elements to deliver messages of love, appreciation and support, music is the element that delivers spiritual states that come from the need of the wedding couple to transmit the same messages only in the shape of the immateriality of the songs. The moments that call for this music performance are spread throughout the entire duration of a wedding, be it held inside the church or inside a reception hall.
The ceremonials normally take place under the musical supervision of the priest’s assistant, but there are situations when couples are derogated from the traditionalist displaying of a sober ceremony, being allowed to play the tunes at their own choice (but these choices are previously revised and approved by the church’s officiates). The reception on the other hand, is the part of the wedding that allows the wedding couples to choose the songs that have significance for themselves and their family as well. Their families are involved in the displaying of the wedding reception by the presence of two important moments: father and daughter dance and mother and son dance.

Planning the music for your wedding you are cast into the process of songs selection for the party that follows the ceremony of your wedding. The same party that introduces you as a married couple to the guests, and because of this you as a bride (now pronounced ‘wife’) are supposed to take an emotional farewell from your father and you, as a groom (now pronounced ‘husband’) an equally emotional farewell form your mother. In this respect you have prepared the songs to dance to with your family members and planned also to surprise them with your choices of songs, as they are the songs that have marked your happy childhood and adolescence as well. But you have no idea that father and mother in her turn have their aces in their sleeves!

So when the moments will come you have to expect the hall of the reception to be filled with the emotions displayed by the surprise songs. You, as the son of your mother, have no idea how many hours your mother has spent in preparing the surprising
mother and son wedding song, how much effort she has put into the selection of this songs. The research took her time as she was carried from one site to another with versions of song lists to contain
mother and son wedding songs. Once she had even thought to have found THE song, but the moment she had read the lyrics and listened to the tunes, she put it aside as she didn’t think that the song would be appropriate to the occasion.
Somehow she had come across a list of songs that she inserted as favorite for listen to them in one evening when the peace of mind will be there allowing her to focus on the rhythm, lyrics and tunes. The songs she had on her list were: “What a wonderful world” – Louis Armstrong, “Unforgettable” – Nat King Cole, “Wind beneath my wings” – Bette Midler, “You’ve got a friend” performed by James Taylor. And her final choice proved to be “What a wonderful world” as she knew that Louis Armstrong was your favorite, too with the song revealing the world of wonders a mother sees around her whenever her son is near.
