Popular Wedding Songs

In the church ceremonies the music is meant to be softer and usually classic music or ballads make the object of this music, and the selection here implies music for different events: the prelude-when the guests come and have their seats, a special song for the moment when groom and mother of the bride are seated, bride's entrance and then the moment when she is walking up the aisle. And the last moment, when the couple leave the church, which generally is a joyous music. In between there are some other moments, such as exchanging the vows, or lighting the unity candle when couples choose to have also some music played.
Besides the classical songs to be performed at the wedding ceremony (Jesu, joy of man's desiring, Ave Maria, Bridal March, Canon in D) there are songs that have gained their status of favorite songs though it is somehow difficult to say that a certain song is more beloved that another. But yet, we meet repetitive songs like "A living prayer" by Alison Krauss, "All that I am" - by Rob Thomas, "At the beginning" by Donna Lewis, "Because you love me" - Jo Dee Messina, "Con te partiro" - Andrea Bocelli, "Nothing compares to you" - Sinead O'Connor and the list may go on.But again, several factors influence the choice of music, such as theme of the wedding, couple's religion (there are churches that have strict rules regarding the ceremony's music), tradition of the wedding and it would last too long to enumerate for each and every aspect the popular wedding songs; it would take too long time and it would be useless so long as the popular music is relevant in its way to every couple that has to organize a selection of wedding songs.
Another part of the wedding celebration that requires music is the reception where couples are congratulated by the guests, this being the reason for the couple to throw a party where the music plays an important role. This part of a wedding celebration is also influenced by several factors, mainly the ones that have been mentioned already, but generically it is divided in father daughter dance, mother son dance, first dance (when the couple dances, this being actually the moment that set out for guests to dance and enjoy themselves), slideshow moment - where couple is playing some videos or show slides related to their previous life and in the end the entertainment music.
In this part the popular wedding songs comprise the diversity of relevant songs existing on the music market and drawing a list would make it useless. Popular after all represents the common feature that couples have found to totally define their step they took into the marriage.
