Songs For A Wedding

We are in a crowded wedding season. The preparations are on the last hundred of meters. The gown, location, floral arrangements. . .take care of these and let the songs for a wedding in our hands. Few couples may decide to have a very silent wedding. They exist and they choose to not have any dance and music at their wedding. But most can’t conceive such an event without respecting the “first dance” tradition. This moment is marked by such tenderness and traditionalism that it shouldn’t be skipped no matter what. It usually happens right after the dessert. The person in charge with the entertainment makes the announcement, at which point the couple should already march through the center of the dance ring.

The most appropriate song to dance on would be a slow one, but given the fact that traditions have changed a lot in the past few years you can also opt for a ballroom dance. As a warning, you may want to check on the DJ before, to see if he plays the correct version of your song. You may risk of dancing on your wrong version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. A disappointing memory is not what you expect from this lifetime experience you’re going to remember all your life. Since we finish high school and till today, I believe I’ve had a wedding every summer. Every time I went with a slight fear because I knew how were classical weddings.

The only wedding at which I felt really great was my brother’s, from the fall, and without being too subjective, it was really on my taste. I mean, without stake, without sparkling dresses, without too much noise. From that experience, I’ve gotten inspired to write this article. I’m sure there are many other readers, like myself that would want to hear this kind of music.

I dream for so long at the moment I’m going to get married. I’ve projected into my mind every moment of the wedding, and although it may not concur with the reality, I still like to dream. Obviously I’ve already thought at a list of songs that me and “him”. . . .my future husband. . .will dance on. I will share with you my preferences regarding songs for a wedding, hoping that it will inspire someone!

Darla & Chad Day – Love of My Life – A absolutely superb duet, a statement of love that states so well what you’re going to feel in your wedding day, and also for the rest of your life…This song was unknown to me until a few months ago, when my sister asked me to help her get some suggestions for wedding songs. The very strong lyrics and voice in the start really makes you slip into the mood for love.
