Other parts of the processional are: the exchange of rings when the bride and groom tell something like “I (name) give you (name) this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you”, wedding vows (a blessing, benediction, community commitment to support the marriage, or officiant’s sanction of the marriage), the ceremony or the definition of marriage is the moment when the officiate says some words about how important and solemn is the marriage, a first kiss of wedding couple, the introduction of newlyweds, and the closing which can be highlighted by a poem, a prayer or the final thoughts of the officiant. Also, in processional you can include lighting of unity candle, water unity or other unity ceremony.
Unity candle is a ritual which means that you and your husband had unit your destines. Each of you has a candle in hands and lit them. Simultaneous, you lit the third candle which is higher. If you’ll choose to choke the candles after you’ve lit the third candle, it means that you and your husband will keep your own individuality during marriage. Also, you can involve your guests into Candle Unity. All your guests must have a candle in hands and the first one lit it and hands it to all the guests till lit arrives to you and you’ll lit the third candle. It’s a beautiful ritual especially that nowadays, stores are sealing hundreds of candles with your name on them or with the wedding’s date. Also, you can order the candles to be assorted with the wedding’s theme. You can choose customized candles with your name, the wedding’s date, with ribbons and bows.

The Water unity is a different ritual but the meaning is the same. The grooms must have a glass with colored water in the hands and pour the water in the third container which obviously is larger. Let me explain this ritual: let’s say that bride has a glass with pink water and the husband has a glass with blue water. By pouring the water in the third container, you’ll obtain the third color: purple. You can exercise this ritual at home before wedding to obtain a color that you really like or which is assorted to wedding’s theme.
