When it comes to the wedding, young couples tend to have this event organized in the spirit of their own beliefs, beliefs in the power of love, in their ability to leave the past behind and cast themselves into a new life that is sealed together with the ceremony of a wedding. Weddings can comprise or not the ceremonial service whereas the reception is always there on every planning of a wedding! The reception is that part in which couple is stepping as husband and wife leaving behind the life that kept them separated; now with the sealing of a wedding they look confidently into the future, the past becoming a sum of memories that many of the newly weds desire to share with their guests during the unfolding of a reception.




These memories are often chosen to be displayed in the format of a wedding photo slideshow where photos of the couple are depicting them in their life caught in different moments of its unfolding: childhood and adolescence and many of the photos also showing the young couple in the time of their dating. These nostalgic memories are filled with emotional moments often bringing tears in the audience’s eyes and if there is music on the background of the slideshow there is more emotion to be captured in the displaying of the photos.

Couples choose to have the photos slideshow in different ways, some of them not even knowing about the existence of such a moment. Some couples are not aware that something has been cooked for them and when the time comes, they are surprised with a slideshow previously planned by the family or friends or by both working in an attempt to obtain memorable moments captured by the photo camera. The choices of songs have to be relevant to the slideshow; that is why attention should be paid to create a synchrony between the photos and the music.
