Songs For Wedding
In the exhausting work of a wedding planning, couples see themselves compelled to perform one more tiresome task: the choice of music that has to define the moments displayed in the unfolding of a wedding celebration. While planning the special event you have bumped into the several aspects required by the wedding displaying, you know by now what are the moments to be included both in the ceremony and reception. You know by now what is the tone set for celebrating your wedding, you have some ideas what kind of music would go for this, what kind of lyrics would go for that and so on. However you still need to find the ones to be totally relevant for your wedding atmosphere.
In fact, music is the one to lift up the mood of your guests, to carry their souls to the realms of deep emotions for in the end to bring in the flow of entertainment, relaxing the atmosphere with a cup of champagne and the rhythm of the music to which the invitees could dance. From the music point of view, wedding can be seen as a symphony of sounds, some being reflected by the sheer presence of the instruments (for instance in the displaying if the ceremony) and others reflected by the chorus presence accompanied by instruments, as the final act of the symphony of joy revealed at the end of a wedding celebration by throwing the reception party.
Songs for wedding can be divided in the same way this symphony of sounds is divided: songs for the ceremony and songs for the reception. If we consider the main moments of the ceremony (which can or can not be run with a religious service) we find five important moments that require the presence of songs to be found provided by interlude music, prelude music, processional music, recessional music, and unity candle songs.
If the tone of the wedding celebration is set to be the traditional one, then the songs for wedding can be the traditional parts of concertos to belong to the classic composers which are the most popular on these occasions (Wagner, Mozart, Bach). In case the tone of the wedding is more of a non-formal one then the choices of songs in the ceremonial can belong to contemporary songs but bearing at the same time the decency and emotions of the moments included in the ceremony.
As to the reception, well, here is a different story; a wedding reception, from the musical point of view, can be run in a note of high-spirits, either the tone of the wedding is chosen to be formal or less formal. At the reception, invitees are supposed to party in an atmosphere of total entertainment not before the important moments have been already consumed. These moments are unfolded at the beginning of the reception, and through their meaning they can carry emotions into the hearts of the guests and the bridal party as well. In fact, father and daughter dance, mother and son dance, first dance, all of them are moments to contain songs that touch everybody’s heart; it is quite impossible for the invitees to remain cool facing the displaying of such sentimental moments.
No matter what the choice of songs for wedding might be, it is a sure fact that couples will pay a thoroughly attention to their selection, as long as they understand that weddings can not exist without the so precious element that we simply call, music.
