The Generation Dance: A Sweet Way To Celebrate Love

We all like to personalize our wedding reception with spicy and nice moments that bring joy to everyone.  All couples want to have a unique and memorable wedding that will bring back a lot of nice memories over the years. One of these moments is the generation dance also called the anniversary dance. Is there something nicer than celebrating everlasting love?

This is the role of the generation dance. Usually in the middle of the wedding party, the DJ announces the moment by calling all married couples on the dance floor together with the newlyweds. Then he plays a nice romantic slow song and all the couples start dancing. After several moments, the couples married less than 1 year are asked to sit down.

The DJ than moves to 5 years, than 10 years and so on from 5 to 5 years until the longest-married couple is the only pair left on the dance floor. The newlyweds should then exchange partners with the final couple, creating a touching moment. As an alternative, the bride can offer her bouquet to the longest-married couple.

The generation dance is a really sweet reminder that the wedding day is only the beginning of a lifetime together. You will see that all your guests will enjoy the generation dance, especially elder people who will fell so proud and nostalgic about what they succeed on doing through the years.
