Are you a movie fan? How about teleseries? In Philippine television the term teleserye is a common one usually attributed to soap operas. Now you get it? They are high rated, watched by all age categories. No wonder if these will become a source of inspiration for the music plan at a wedding. But the question will be are these suitable in your case?
One of the most popular productions by ABS-CBN is called “The wedding”. Suggestive enough to consider its soundtracks your source for completing the songs list. As long as it follows the love themed ones you are saved as a melodrama is out of discussion. But it’s not the case here as the story of this “wedding” is a romantic comedy, a pretended/fake love story. The plot is keeping alive the interest as many complications interfere.

The wedding teleserye songs start first with “Can’t help falling in love” by Sam Milby. In a deeper interpretation it may be the life game making the bride and groom fall in love without notice. But once you read between the lines the lyrics of this song you will see that is not quite a happy version since it is the rejection, the impossibility of a love story to begin. Not quite on the same wavelength with a wedding concept.
Not even the second option is what you are looking for. “When I fall in love” by Yeng Constantino reflects the idea of a burning desire to be together but not an accomplishment. “If we fall in love” is the repeated part like an obsession so again not a 100% suitable song for your wedding.

The wedding teleseries songs include as well “Promise” by Yeng Constantino, with disappointment another song you should not choose for your play list. It is sad and a break up expressed idea.
