You Can’t Hurry Love
This song was Phil’ s first top hit as a solo artist. It is a song that seems to be played by three different artists due to Phil Collins talent of singing all harmonies. You Can’t Hurry Love reached no. 10 in the 1982 US charts.
Easy Lover (duet with Philip Bailey)
Collins started to produce other artists such as Adam Ant, Howard Jones, Frida and Earth, Wind & Fire. Philip Bailey is the vocalist of this last mentioned group. Easy Lover is an up-tempo duet between the two singers, which won an MTV Video Music Award for the Best Overall Performance.
Sussudio
This song is the first single from Phil Collins’ best-selling album, No Jacket Required. This is one of the singer’s most danceable songs, due to its horn section. Phil Collins sings about a girl named Sussudio, a gibberish word that the composer accidentally heard while playing a drum machine.

This is a pop song beginning with a lengthy guitar solo by Eric Clapton as a guest performer. The song is from the album …But Seriously. Phil Collins’ voice, Eric Clapton’s wailing guitar and background gospel vocals are a wonderful combination.

This is 1999 song from a soundtrack album for the famous Disney movie Tarzan. The song brought Collins on adult contemporary radio, and spent 19 weeks in the top of the AC chart. This track brought Collins the first Oscar for the Best Original Song.

This song is a smash hit, with vocals from David Crosby that brought Collins the 1991 Grammy for the Record of the Year.

This is a nice and sweet ballad that was Phil’s third American single reaching no. 1 in tops. Due to this song, No Jacket Required won a Grammy award for the Album of the Year.
In the Air Tonight
This song reached no. 19 in 1981 charts, but became one of the most popular Collins songs. The song is based on ominous instrumentation and explosive drums that produce a unique and memorable drum sequence in popular music.
Against All Odds
Against All Odds is a nice ballad written by Phil Collins for the movie with the same title. The song became Collins’ first no. 1 hit and got an Academy Award nomination.
