Top ten wedding songs country

Country music is one of the most debated musical genres, having an ample history due its spontaneously apparition in 1920 in Atlantic Canada and Southern United States. Generally talking, the country music, also called Western, is a mix between traditional and popular songs which uses lots of instruments like guitar, bass, Dobro, steel guitar, mandolin, banjo, double bass, fiddle, piano, drums, harmonica, vocals and sometimes electronic keyboard. Country style has lots of derivate forms, most important being rock and roll, roots rock, southern rock and heartland rock. Also, it has lots of subgenres and fusion genres like: bluegrass, close harmony, Lubbock sound, Nashville sound, Neotraditional country , Western swing and Texas country. The most important fusion genres are alternative country, country rock, cowpunk,  Country-rap , Country pop, Country soul and Southern soul. As you can see, the country style is a very ample one with lots of subgenres.

Many musicians opted for this style, most important being Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, Alabama, Archer, Julian Austin, Paul Blake, Ray Charles, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Little Big Town, and of course, the list with the most famous singers of country music can continue, but I’d rather stop here because I’m sure you are convinced to include this style in your wedding compilation.

Better I’ll share with you my personal top ten wedding songs country in the idea of inspiring you, and please, don’t hesitate to say what your favorite country songs are. You also can share with us your own top ten wedding songs country.

“All My Rowdy Friends” performed by Hank Williams Jr.; “Always On My Mind” performed by Willie Nelson; “Amazed” performed by Lonestar ;“Any Man Of Mine” performed by Shania Twain; “Bless The Broken Road” performed by Rascal Flatts, “Could I Have This Dance” performed by Anne Murray; “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” performed by Dwight Yoakam; “Daddy Let’s Dance” performed by Jamie Tate; “Family” performed by Dolly Parton and “Don’t Take The Girl” performed by Tim McGraw. If I should choose just a single song, than my favorite one would be “Family” performed by Dolly Parton because I simply find the human spirit in the gorgeous lyrics: “And when it’s family you trust them and your heart’s an open door/ When it’s family, you tolerate what you’d kill others for / When it’s family, you love and hate and take, then give some more/ Somehow you justify mistakes, try to find some better way/ To solve the problems day to day, in the family”.

Of course, Rascal Flatts with the stupendous melody, already known in the whole world: “Bless the broken road” would be a tempting option. Just I remind some amazing lyrics:“Every long lost dream led me to where you are/ Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars/ Pointing me on my way into your loving arms/ This much I know is true/ That God blessed the broken road/ That led me straight to you/ I think about the years I spent just passing through/ I’d like to have the time I lost and give it back to you/ But you just smile and take my hand/ You’ve been there you understand/ It’s all part of a grander plan that is coming true”.
