Top Wedding Songs At Black Wedding
The opposite of white is black; where there is light there must be darkness, too! When we say wedding we think of white – white dresses, white flowers, all in one a celebration of white! Not the same happened with the wedding celebration of my friend. When I received her wedding invitation I was thinking first that there must be an invitation for a Halloween party. The envelope was black, with the usual orange pumpkins decorating the outside parts. When I opened I realized that my friend was inviting me to her black wedding.
I know my friend to be a non-conformist, but to go that far with planning her wedding in black colors on the Halloween day, that was something I didn’t expect from her. Mainly because her family wouldn’t have agreed, them being so traditionalist in everything they do, but it must have been her fiancé who finally decided for this peculiar celebration as I knew that he was born on the 31
st of October and perhaps that was the ground for their unusual
black wedding event.

The next thing I did was to grab the phone and congratulate her on the occasion asking if there was something I could do to help. She said that for the future she might need some help with the music as my boyfriend being a DJ could come up with some suggestions regarding the music for her wedding. I assured her of our help and hanging up I started to think of some odd ideas to make an outfit for her Halloween wedding party. The condition for a Halloween costume was clearly underlined in the wording of her invitation; it was specified that this outfit was a must and though there were three more months before the event happened, I had to prepare myself on time as I needed to design my outfit and had it sewn to be ready till then.

When the time came to assist her with the music, my boyfriend showed up with a box full with CDs and asked me to plan an audition for one of the week-end’s days where the bride and groom could come and select the “
top wedding songs at black wedding” as they called it. The options for the style of music were various; they could have chosen something to belong to gothic-rock, heavy metal rock, alternative rock – everything that belonged to the noisy sounds of rock but in its modern version. Her fiancé was a rock music fan, in fact all his appearance indicated his taste in music; you know – long hair, piercing, black leathered outfits, thick heavy boots and so on.
My friend was also a fan of the heavy sounds of rock only that her look didn’t show it all the time as the etiquette required by her working place wouldn’t have allowed that non-conformist style of a clothing. Otherwise, when she attended parties or going out to socialize, she would dress in that ‘rocker’ style while being with her lover. When they came over in that week-end to audition for those ‘top wedding songs at black wedding‘, I had the feeling that my house instantly changed into a rock club with all the heavy tunes of the rock bands flooding the empty spaces of my living room.
My boyfriend had been of a great help indeed for them with songs selected for the atmosphere of a black wedding, rock music being in this regard very generous with choices that fitted the best their musical tastes.
