Typical songs for a dollar dance at a wedding

Dollar dance is a very well known tradition which is part of the wedding party. This tradition is one very debated especially, nowadays when not all couples would like to introduce this tradition in their party. But, for not getting in the middle of this debate, I’d better offer you some information about this tradition among with some typical songs for a dollar dance at a wedding. This moment of the party usually devolves after the wedding cutting cake and it last like 20 minutes-half hour. Five melodies are enough for this moment. What about this tradition? Well, the bride and the groom are like “rented” for a dance with each guest in part who pay for this dance a symbolic sum, a dollar per dance or some cents. As I said before, this tradition is about a symbolic sum payed by guests in order to dance with the bride or the groom. Men pay to dance with the bride, but also the women must pay to have a dance with the groom.

Because it is about such a little sum, neither now I don’t understand why there are so many couples who simple don’t want to introduce this funny tradition in their party program. Usually, not the bride neither the groom take care of money. On the contrary, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen will take care of “renting” them and getting the money. Of course, there are many other options to collect the money.

For example, as I saw at many weddings, the bride can have a little special purse and let it at Dj table. When the DJ announces that Dollar Dance will be next in the wedding program, then all the guests can go to the Dj to make dedications and put one dollar in the purse. Other funny option to collect the money is to buy a special shoes, a decoration shoes like a sparkling slipper and put it in the middle of the dance floor and all the guests that would like to have a dance with the bride or the groom must put one dollar in the slipper. This tradition is funny but also is useful, especially at a immensely wedding with lots of guests.

For sure, there will be some guests who didn’t yet have the opportunity to dance with the bride or the groom and the Dollar Dance offers them the possibility of paying one dollar to dance with them. Or probably, not all the guests will have the courage to ask the bride or the groom to dance. On the other side, the newlyweds will feel extremely honored that some guests truly want to pay for having a dance with them. As I heard, the collected money are used weather in honeymoon for buying souvenirs, but also, the groom and the bride can collect the money for charity goals. They can write a CEC with the collected sum and donate it to poor children or to an asylum.
