Wedding Ceremony Organ Songs

The sounds of the organ have always impressed me in a way that no other instrument does, and this is due to the fact that the gravity of its sounds makes the music float heavily in its majestic notes that roll over the audience present inside the space of a worship place. The same happened to me in the moment when I had to attend the ceremony of my friend's wedding. I came at the church with several minutes earlier and I couldn't refrain myself from stepping inside the church as the sounds of the organ were filling the empty corners of the ceremony hall. The priest's music assistant was already there rehearsing for the big event and nodded at me the moment I entered.

I felt my cheeks blushing not because of the greeting gesture, but because of the music that started to instantly catch my soul in its vibrant notes surrounding my innermost feelings, dominating them and turning them into the slaves of their tunes' depths. I felt like I was almost hypnotized when my boyfriend caught me by the arm and pulled me out gently whispering at my ear that everybody was ready to step in as the wedding ceremony was about to begin.

I woke up from that deep day dreaming and going outside we waited for every other guest to walk inside for in the end to join our group of friends and all of us walk inside to take our seats. While the people entered the ceremony hall the organ started to play heavily combining sounds of joy with romantic notes of some classical composition.

I do not know too much from classic composers, I can not recognize for instance a composer if I hear his work - except, of course, for the really renowned ones -, but this time my friend preferred to print the specific songs on a format of a wedding ceremony musical program which was waiting for each and one of us on the seats of the pews.

The program contained wedding ceremony organ songs, the ones that were supposed to accompany every event displayed in front of us during the ceremonial. And I found in there Frederic Chopin, Debussy, Mozart, Bach, Schubert, Wagner, Pachelbel (with his famous Canon in D), Beethoven (his delightful "Moonlight Sonata"), even Albinoni with his "Adagio" was present on the list of my friend's choices of songs to be performed by the organist of the church.

I don't know how others feel, but to me all the unfolding of this part of the wedding with the religious service and the pronunciation of husband and wife performed in an atmosphere filled with the sounds of wedding ceremony organ songs left a deep impression inside my heart and the moments that took place during this ceremonial were the most emotional ones.

I can say for sure that the presence of organ performed songs did influence a lot the mark that the wedding ceremony left on me. I don't think that other choices of songs (such as pop or jazz or rock ballads) inside a place of worship could have worked better, since the sumptuousness of the place itself asks for the greatness and majesty of these famous classic composers.
