Wedding In Los Angeles: 1940s Wedding Love Songs

The 1940s had among artists names like Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Jimmie Davis, Duke Ellington and Cole Porter. It was still a period of jazz and most songs were first played in musicals. Most of the times, a whole orchestra participated in composing a single song. It was a lot of work back then to get a great song, but the results were most of the time the best and you can see that even nowadays, because many 1940s songs are still living today and are being listened to and played by various artists or even covered by simple people. Weddings back in the 1940s were fun. Also, I think that 1940s love songs were more touchy and passionate than nowadays. More soul was put into the lyrics and the tunes and that is what made them famous and loved by people.

If you plan to get married in Los Angeles, you couldn’t have made a better decision. Los Angeles has many wonderful wedding ceremony locations and here I am suggesting places like La Palapa del Mar, Cathedral Plaza, Scarlett Belle, Hollywood Roosevelt or Grand Tradition Estate. If you don’t know them, then you must check their websites and see their picture galleries and you will understand why I said they are wonderful. The prices are pretty high too, so do check the price list and see what they have to offer.

And because I was mentioning earlier 1940s wedding love songs, I have here a short list of songs that I think are appropriate as wedding love songs. They can be used even for some of the most elegant weddings. Some of the titles below can be used as songs for the first dance. If you want more songs, you can go here and listen to songs you have there and decide which ones you like most and which deserve to be at your Los Angeles wedding ceremony. Also, you can buy the track from Amazon, Buy or iTunes if you don’t have them or if you don’t find them in music shops. Don’t worry, these websites have a big variety of music so you will surely find at least most of what you are looking for there. So here you have the 1940s wedding love songs:

-Again – Doris Day
-Be Careful It’s My Heart – in the musical Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire and Marjorie Reynolds
-Day by Day – Frank Sinatra
-Dearly Beloved – performed by Rita Hayworth in the film You Were Never Lovelier
