Even though thinking that you can make things different there is no way to create and expect the same effect. The bride trying to skip the marching and grand entrance time at the church will be a cut of admiration towards the bridal look. She can’t just enter in the church, nor can she make herself seen by everybody until entering. What is the point after all?
The bride is the main character of the day and even the groom is part of those to watch her coming to the altar, in her exquisite, totally outstanding outfit.
But what is in fact the problem is the fear of the bridal march. Many consider that because of the emotions and being so excited about the moment they will either forget to walk properly, to march, either to step on the dress, stumble and fall. Considering things so they prefer just a slow song and not in the real meaning to march until the altar. Wedding march songs can be even simple background music, non lyrical songs, classic or jazz as genres. It all depends on the clergymen and the bride on the other side. The bride has to find the best song she can walk, with no required formality. On the other side are the priests who will not accept any song or any music type. They mention about the people moral mission to respect the God’s House, to show obedience and respect towards the divinity. Then they see the modern, contemporary music as a way to let behind old values, traditions and so implicitly the values one has or should have towards religion.
With so many rules and obstacles the wedding march songs have to be selected among a short list of options. Not even one of the Enya’s songs are accepted?
