Wedding Reception Dance Songs

The moment of your life commitment is coming up soon and the butterflies in your stomach start already to wander, making you feel more excited as ever. You have felt them before, the moment your beloved one has proposed to you, you felt them again when he asked you from your parents,  but with all the ‘chaos’ of the wedding planning you have almost forgotten about them… And now, with the wedding coming soon, you feel them again in your belly, making you more nervous than on other occasions. Your future husband is next to you, holding your hand, and he somehow senses your butterflies trying to reassure you that everything will be ok, that there is nothing to worry about. The planning of your wedding has finally reached to an end, only the choices for the dance songs are the ones left to be selected.

In order to get your mind away from those bugging butterflies, you begin to draw a list of the songs that you find appropriate for the wedding reception. You know that among your guests, there will be the grannies to attend to the reception, your parents, some older relatives, too and because of this you have to pay attention to the list of songs choices. The reception party is already staged with the moments of your entrance as husband and wife, the father daughter dance, the mother and son dance, the first dance (when you and your beloved one dance to one of the love songs you choose out of the list of the favored ones, the dance which is meant to set the tone for the rest of the evening) and then the party to go on with songs to get the invitees out on the dance floor.

Choosing the wedding reception dance songs is indeed a tiresome task, it requires a lot of time spent in front of your PC, but you need to have your mind set on something else beside your excitement, otherwise you will be overwhelmed with the state and nothing will go smoothly. You tell your future hubby that you need to do the selection taking into account the presence of different age groups and musical tastes as such, so the selection might take more of your time than you have initially presumed.

You go with the idea that it would be the best to alternate soft songs with rhythmical ones in order to offer the possibility to catch one’s breath after a song that was kind of shaky and at the same time the list is better to comprise various types of songs, some to belong to the 70s and 80s combined with dancing songs of the present music chart hits. Drawing the list you find plenty of suggestions available on the internet bridal sites that are good tips in the selection of your choices, some of them going for: “Let’s get it started” – performed by Black Eyed Peas, “Blue Suede Shoes” – by Elvis Presley, “The lady in red” – Chris de Burgh, “Simply irresistible” – Robert Palmer, “Testify” – Phil Collins, “It’s my life” – Bon Jovi, “Pink Cadillac” – Bruce Springsteen, “Play that funky music” – Wild Cherry, “I’ll stand by you” – the Pretenders and so many others, all of them intended to become your wedding reception dance songs, in your attempt to satisfy everybody’s taste, entertaining the guests at the maximum potency of a party.
