Wedding Songs For Ceremony

The planning of a wedding requires plenty of time spent in the attempt to have every detail carefully taken care of, even revising it in case something new comes up that might change the previously planned details. For instance choosing the wedding songs for ceremony might give you the idea of having a program printed in this respect, to display the performance of the ceremony for your guests to have a clear idea on the steps you take in the unfolding of the given part of the wedding. As I have seen once while I was attending to a ceremony of my friend’s wedding event.

We were, I think, more than 100 guests and the space of the church was large enough to have the right number of seats for everybody to have the possibility to sit during the performance of the ceremony. As we entered and headed for the seats we were pleasantly surprised by the presence of a ceremony program placed on each seat waiting for us. Seeing this program while taking my seat I felt myself like being inside an Opera house reaching for the program of the evening’s performance.

I have to admit that whenever I went for an Opera show the presence of a program was more than useful because the data it contained inside was a helpful guide for the novices like me that faced the performance of an Opera show or a symphonic concerto. The same happened with my friend’s wedding ceremony; it was truly staged in a lavishly displaying of music, recites from Bibles with verses accompanied by classical music. The events that took place were also performed in the presence of classical wedding songs for ceremony and as much as I knew some of the classical pieces I could hardly ever recollect the name of the composer and the title of the songs.

Well, the most famous ones, such as Beethoven’s “Ode of joy” or the Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” are already familiar to me, but when it comes to recognize for instance the sounds of Canon in D or Trumpet voluntary, I find it hard to remember the titles and the composers, though these tunes are very popular and everybody is familiar with their composition. Anyway, the fact is that for all the guests present inside the ceremonial unfolding, this specific program was quite at handy. On the front cover the details with names of the couple, the date, the name of the church were present with a graphic to resemble the one from the wedding card.

The inside page nr.1 revealed the names of the family members attending the ceremony as bridal and groom parties, including the name of the musician and the inside page nr.2 held the displaying of the ceremonial with every part that was meant to be unrolled: the prelude to contain the processional with the name of the song next to that of the composer; followed by information revealing the religious service and the songs accompanying it. What came next were the information on the marriage act with the exchanging of vows, of rings and the lighting of the Unity Candle.

The program ended with the details on communion that was represented by a song having its title and name of the composer, including also the final blessing and the recessional performed by the specific song with its name and composer. The back cover contained a thank you note for the guests attending the ceremonial and the couple’s appreciation for giving them the opportunity to share together with their guests the holy act of marriage.
