And now the day came to give your daughter away and you can help yourself not to feel a little bit nostalgic, not to wonder how your future days would be like without having her around. OK, you have prepared yourself for this day, awhile ago when you finally understood that the man who was taking her out, who was so tender to her and gifted her flowers, those red roses that carried the symbol of his love, will some day be the man of your daughter, replacing you in a way that you could have never be toward her, but it is still hard to see her walking away.
During the days of planning her big event you try to be always around and lend a helping hand, you want to make yourself useful with pieces of advice and whatever else would be there necessary to support her. And it comes the moment when the music element comes into the big picture of the planning and your ‘little’ girl sends you away telling you that she has a surprise with the music for the reception since she wants to be alone with her future husband in choosing the wedding songs for father and daughter.
You finally leave the room though you would have wanted to witness that selection and even to drop by with some suggestions, but you indulge yourself in allowing her to surprise you when it will come to the moment you most favored: dancing with your little daughter on the dance floor at her wedding. There isn’t anything more emotional than that moment and you can hardly wait for that thrill to go down your spine letting you to show yourself off with the ripped fruit of your fatherhood.
Then the wedding reception comes and the tunes of “Butterfly Kisses” are flooding the reception room and tears are rushing into your eyes while taking your daughter to the dance floor and wishing for that moment to last just a little bit more. It is a nice and emotional surprise to you to see that your girl didn’t forget your favored song, the one you used to sing to her so often while being a baby and later on while celebrating the events of her growing up times. Yes, the daddy’s little girl is getting married and you can’t stop the tears running down your face.
