Wedding Songs For Groom And Mother Dance
Your son is already a grown up and pretty soon you will attend to his wedding. There’s nothing else for you to do to help with the organizing; everything is being taken care of. You have tried to offer your support on different matters that you are good at, but with all that interference from that wedding planner your son has hired, your hands were pretty tied up. In a week from now you will be there, in the reception hall with all the emotions taking control over you letting the tears running down your face. You just can’t help it! You know how it would be like already!
You do the final check ups: the wedding gown is ready hanging in the closet waiting for that special moment, the pieces of jewelry you have chosen to match the color of your dress and its style are waiting too, but still there is one more thing to do. You was thinking to browse to the discography you have gathered all these years and try selecting the
wedding song for groom and mother dance. Simply the thought of this moment gives you goose bumps up and down your skin. It is the moment that calls for the memories to come back and you are sure that it will get tears into your eyes and you know how this fact turns your son bitter. You set your mind not to let this happen and you hope you’ll be able to stick to this decision, as you have previous experiences of this attitude of yours; your son can not stand to see you crying because, as he actually stated, there is something beyond his power to prevent you from crying. He never preferred to be around your tears and not be able to do something to soothe your pain whatever its reason was.

But enough with all these thoughts; you will do your best to prevent the tears from falling. Suddenly the phone rings; your son’s best man is calling asking you to assist the bridesmaid and groomsman in finding some appropriate photos for the video slide show they want to organize as a surprise for the wedding reception. You promise you will help them with this (finally something for you to do) and after you hang up you reach for the family album in searching for some photos that might be relevant for the slide show. Opening the album, the chain of memories is stretching in front of your eyes, and step by step you feel yourself carried by it: here is the day when you gave birth to him, surrounded by the doctor and nurses, this one is at his first year anniversary party, and other photos follow in a whirl of sensations moved by the memories they contain in every detail depicted in the photos.
While browsing the family album, some tunes from your son’s childhood come as an obsession into your mind, these tunes that you used to have them played at his anniversaries and later to emphasize the accomplishments of his life. And one by one you start to write them down to have some examples of wedding songs for groom and mother dance at the wedding reception: “A song for my son” – Mikki Viereck;
“Through the years” and “You decorated my life” – by Kenny Rogers, “Power of love” – the version performed by Jennifer Rush. One of these days you have to decide upon one of these songs, although it seems difficult since all of them are beautifully reflecting days of your life.
