As I said in many of my articles, the wedding party is composed by many important parts, traditions and rituals. The wedding is important not only for the couple, but also for their parents that’s the reason why, since ancient times, during wedding party, were practiced father and daughter dance but also mom and son dance. In this article, I’d like to talk about wedding songs for son to dance with mom. Usually, the brides-to-be take the responsibility of creating the wedding play list, asking her future husband what songs he’d like to hear. But, for mother and son dance, the groom must take the responsibility on his own of choosing a song. This is not such an easy task because we must think that the song or the dance are not so important, more important being the sentiments and feelings they express through their dance. That’s the reason why the groom must choose a perfect song which speaks volumes about the relationship between him and his mother.




For taking a good decision, the son must cater for some things. I’ll try to offer  some tips of choosing wedding songs for son to dance with mom:

-think at your mother personality: if she’s a romantic person that always was worried for you, always close to you trying to give you the best advice and crying when you were angry or upset, choose a slow song with heart melting lyrics. Don’t worry if some tears will appear because this is something normal, since human beings are used with expressing their feelings and sensations. On the other hand, if your mom is a funny person, always active and bubbling with enthusiastic spirits, then choose a hilarious song with tremendous rhythm. You also can learn a specific choreography and impress your guests with a special dance.

-think at the type of relationship between you and your mom. If it’s a strong relationship, if she was next to you in your hardest moments, than choose a powerful songs with lyrics about unconditioned love, about affection and respect. But sometimes it’s happening that the son to feel more closer to his dad, in this case the groom can choose a cheerful song with hilarious lyrics.

-the melody for mother and son dance can be a dedication from son to his mother with lyrics about respect, admiration and appreciation, love, affection and sincerely thanks. As well, the song for mother and groom dance can be a dedication from mother to his son with lyrics about pride, love, unconditioned help, hope and power.
