At the church for the religious ceremony the time becomes more exciting and emotional as everybody waits impatiently the bridal appearance.
When she comes the visual effect is amplified by the background music. Not only this, but a proper song has to be selected for the march to the altar.
If it is to count the traditional wedding perspective the wedding songs for the bridal walk are about a short list of options, among which it is included the “Here comes the bride” song or the popular and common option wedding march from “A midsummer night’s dream”. But along the years more and more brides prefer to follow the modern path and so change a little bit the rhythm. It is not like having as wedding songs for the bridal walk rock style but to choose among modern melodies. What can be the options? In your mission as to find a song proper for the bridal march there are several aspects to be taken into consideration as references. The first one is the church approval for using a specific song. There are case when priests won’t accept anything else than the choirs singing the religious songs. Also, it has to be about a song with suggestive and appropriate lyrics for the time and place, if it is not a non vocal one. Moreover, the songs selected have to be rhythmic in the measure in which the bride has to properly make the march, the slow steps taken down the aisle.
In concrete examples to be given as possible options to ponder over are some parts of the Enya’s or Enigma’s repertory. And to be more explicit focus on “Way to eternity”, “Celtic dream” or “Angel” by Era. These are modern songs, with slow rhythm and even if not exactly proper for the marching they get to be suitable for the event, location and moment.
