What songs do we need to pick for our wedding?

What songs do we need to pick for our wedding?” is a question that I heard so many times. You can just log in a wedding forum and you’ll see how many brides-to-be are coping with this problem. I even don’t know why I named it a problem when in fact, it’s very simple to solve it. As usually, people tend to complicate the things. I know that it’s about a wedding, one of the most important moments in a person’s life, also I know how stressed, worried and charged with emotions must be all the couples who are in time-line with their wedding planning. That’s also the reason for why I tell you that opting for simplicity is the best way for easing your work. Probably you’ll ask what means simplicity regarding the same question: “What songs do we need to pick for our wedding?”.

I don’t want to seem a little ironic in treating this topic, but usually a good organization helps a lot. It’s like in Math, if you know the formula, you’ll obtain the good result of a complicated problem. First of all, you must decide if you want recorded or live music. I know many couples who opted for both options. After having the answer, you’ll start to create your own wedding playlist which finally it will be handed to the Dj or the the band you’ve hired. Creating your own wedding playlist is again a simple work which can be done even in your breaks (if you take your laptop with you at work). For helping you with the organization, I recommend you to write on a piece of paper or in Notepad (Microsoft Word, or any program you are used with), some important things you mandatory must cater for. Which are these important things I am talking about?

Again, you must decide if you want music during your ceremony too. Now, that churches have approved music during ceremony, you should have the best from this decision and make an effort for having some great music when you’ll say “Yes!” to the man you love so much. You must assort every moment of the ceremony with certain songs: the prelude, the processional and the recessional can be divine underlined by amazing songs. If you have no idea about which songs are usually played during ceremony, I invite you to read some of my other articles about ceremony songs, or even easier, you can opt for Classical songs. Talking about wedding party, here’s the part when problems seem to appear. But why? When everything depends of organization, on your personal tastes in what regards the musical genres and also it depends on a little effort from your part to accomplish the other guest’s musical tastes. You must choose songs for the grand entrance, for the first and the last dance, for the dance between the “just married” couple and their parents and also, you can offer to your wedding an unforgettable carriage if you’ll have patience in correlating every tradition with a certain song. There are many beautiful melodies which can highlight the bouquet tossing, the garter removal, the moment of cutting wedding cake and also the Dollar dance can be transformed into a funny moment.

Things aren’t complicated even if we talk about a personalized wedding, those weddings which are planned on a certain theme. When I say wedding theme, I reffer to the most predominat feature of your wedding. I know couples who planned country, raggae, jazz and even vintage weddings. These musical genres were predominant, but it didn’t missed also some melodies of other musical genres. You must take care of your pleasures, to include the songs which have a meaning for you, you must create an uniform aspect between wedding theme, the season when it’s planned and the music. Sometimes, even the place where the wedding is planned can play a huge role. As I said before, patience is all you need when creating the playlist, and also some much more love for yourself!
